Assistant Minister in Training - Michael Collins
I am married to Heather and we have a daughter Freya and a son Ellis.
It was during my time as a youngster at West Leigh Baptist Church that I gave my life to Christ. When I met my wife in 2005, I started to attend Rayleigh Baptist Church where I grew in my faith. I was involved in various ministries such as youth groups, Alpha, 18-30’s and was appointed as a deacon, serving on the leadership team for 2 years.
In 2010 I gained a honours degree from Northampton University in Sport and Health Studies. Then in 2014 I felt a restlessness at work, as a delivery driver for Waitrose, and I spent the next few years testing a calling on my life into ministry.
In September 2017 I finished my 12 years’ service with Waitrose and started ministerial studies at Spurgeons Baptist college in London. I am delighted to have also taken up the role of Assistant Minister in Training here at Hadleigh Baptist Church.
I am passionate about church, pioneering, connecting with families and specifically 18 – 30’s generation. I enjoy cycling, football, fishing and spending time with my family.
