Love is………

Today is Valentine’s Day, I hope you remembered! Cards, flowers and chocolates have been bought and breakfast should have been safely delivered to our loved one in bed.

Originating as a feast day to honour one or possibly two early Christian martyrs, Valentine’s Day has become a celebration of romantic love. Albeit that some may think over commercialised.

My Bible reading is perhaps somewhat predictable and has been used in millions of marriage sermon messages including my own. However, like all passages that we think are familiar to us it is important for us to revisit them regularly, mainly to make sure we are actually doing it what it says! Whilst Paul in chapter 7 speaks specifically about marriage and chapter 13 is useful in a marriage or relationship setting, it is by no means exclusive to this and has very important lessons to teach us all about how to live the Christian life.
